You did it didn’t you? You just bought the 2019 BMW i8 that you’ve been salivating forever since they released the specs. I get it. Every time I buy a new car, it’s the love of my life for at least a year or two. (Don’t tell my wife). Let me guess, you’ve run more errands since you bought your car than you have in the last 5 years combined. Why not? Everything looks better when you’re driving your dream car. Until… SCRAPE!!! That pothole just jumped out in the road and found you didn’t it? Don’t feel too bad we’ve all been there, but I found a solution called the BMW Skid Plate. Have I touched a nerve? Then read on my friend.
The Problem As I See It
Here’s the problem as I see it. Our dream cars are just too much fun to drive. Tell me you don’t take turns a little faster than you should or test out the horsepower when you hit a good stretch of road. There’s absolutely no shame in it, we just don’t have the roads to handle our inner Andretti. (Or another Nascar driver you love). We have to contend with the endless road construction, speed bumps and ridiculously steep driveways. Our sporty dream should never have to face such conditions.
All kidding aside, our roads are wreaking havoc on our cars, particularly on the underside of the front bumper. Most guys I know with our taste in cars have had the damage fixed at least 3 times. I don’t need to tell you that equates to thousands of dollars of damage and a massive hassle each time it happens. I’ve stopped valet parking my car at my favorite restaurant because every time I go, I bottom out on the driveway. It makes me crazy. I know one guy who’s manufacturing business has one road leading in that’s beaten to hell. He’s complained, but the city has yet to do anything about it. His Porsche bottoms out on a dip in the road literally every day regardless of how slow he drives. What’s a car enthusiast to do?
The Solution: The BMW Skid Plate
Well, you’ve waiting this long so here’s my solution. It’s called the BMW Skid Plate. The guys over at Sliplo make it for these exact problems. What is it? Essentially it’s a bumper guard made out of the same tough material used on snowplow blades. It’s durable as hell and looks amazing, but is barely noticeable once it’s installed. Here are the benefits of the BMW Skid Plate.
- NO More Worrying About Extremely Sharp Driveways & Parking Curb Scrapes (This is a big one)
- Saves Your Hard-Earned $$$$ From Costly Repairs
- Keeps Your Bumper Looking BRAND NEW
- No Drill Solution Installs Without Drill Hole Damage to Your Car
- One Size Fits All Can Protect All Your Cars
- Low Profile Aerodynamic Design Looks Like a Factory Add on Your Car
- Strongly Attaches With Tough As Nails 3M Double Sided Adhesive
- Can be REMOVED SAFELY without damage
I’m not kidding when I tell you that it’s a no brainer to have the BMW Skid Plate installed. Forget about the money and time it takes to repair the bumper of your beautiful car. For me it’s about never having to hear the sound of bumper meets pavement again. That damn sound! To never have to worry about taking that road a bit too fast or even pulling in to a friend’s steep driveway. Do it for your own piece of mind. You won’t regret it.
